I agree, I think every character in fiction needs to have shades of grey. I have definitely added this book to my reading list.

I loved your pod cast from a children author of Concord, Ca.
How long have you been speaking for?
Maybe I’ll get as good as you. some day
I also have known young people who talked about suicide. It can be a true struggle if you feel misunderstood and there needs to be an outlet. Sometimes that is all they need to cry out for help. I like that the book has the twist of the reader getting mad at Hannah and thus forces them to look at their own life. What a good interview!
Jay’s a great guy who really cares about his audience. Keep an eye out for his next book. I’m sure it will be just as provocative and compelling.
I can only hear Laura’s voice and not the authors.
Priscilla,
This interview is in stereo, and Jay’s voice is on the right channel. Perhaps one your speakers is disconnected?
I’m heading out to book stores to find Jay Asher’s, Thirteen Reasons Why.
Loving these author interviews – lots of insights 7 great tips, very encouraging.
Please could you put the time of the full interview somewhere so I know how long something will take, to match with time available to listen! Thanks
