  45. In the category of good news: I have one new book out this year (BUGS THAT KILL, Marshall-Cavendish, Grades 3-6) and another due out the end of February (THE RESTLESS EARTH: FOSSILS, Chelsea House, for middle school students. The latter book is part of a geology series sponsored by the Franklin Institute. You can check out the book covers at my website: http://www.biostration.com. I’m psyched!

  46. I was a former print subscriber and joined the Bookworms this weekend. This place is awesome. So glad I decided to read your email. :)

  47. Thank you for this wonderful new place. I just joined, but I’ve been getting both the newsletter and the update for years. I’ve also attended the Bootcamp and recommend it to everyone. The article on query letters, both the example and Laura’s info helped me a lot. I was about to send out a manuscript and realized I’d left something important off of it. I didn’t ask permission to have the editor read it. I rewrote it and feel so much better now. Wish me luck. I’m mailing it tomorrow!

  48. Jon, I joined yesterday. I have a story written for 5-6 yr. olds but it needs a lot of work. I would like to make it a series. This website looks like it will be a great help to me. I’m so glad you did this.

  55. First up, well written article! I’ve got a small question nagging me, I really love the theme of your site and tried to download the same design on my WP site. Yet, there is some kind of weird coding error in the sidebar. Do you have any hints, what settings are you using? Please PM me on Twitter @Spellitloud or via e-mail.

  56. Great post.
